Coolidge Updates!

Check here periodically for the latest news from the Coolidge front...keep yourself informed, punk!

UPDATES AUGUST 15, 2004

1. The Rusty Nails new CD "The New Colony" is ready and people should buy it. Hellp out Brett.

2. This might be Coolidge Records' last release. Not finding the bands we like and the drive to do it. Plus almost everything is sold out from years of ebay, and the bands dont want me to re-press. Which fine, because I havent sold that many of the cd's. But it's been about / over 10 years, and we are having a good run. I will still probably keep up one page on the ballcar site, just in case in anyone is interested. One day when I am sick or something, I will re-design the Coolidge Section to make it more easy to navigate through to find those bands you are looking for.

3. Lancaster County Prison is touring Ireland for about a week. So if you are there, go check them out.

UPDATE MAY 2, 2004

New Address to send Coolidge Records money for mailorder:

136 Church Street - Kittrell, NC 27544

1. The Rusty Nails new CD, "The New Colony" is getting ready. Should be another blast of fun from Brett.

2. Gladys is done. But I might convince them to make one more CD of music.

3. Lancaster County Prison is doing well. Playing shows in Brooklyn and Queens, they want to tour Ireland, but who knows when that will happen.

4. I am still trying to sell Coolidge Releases on ebay. Once they are gone, they are gone. If you want to buy Coolidge Records' releases in bulk, email me and I'll see what I can do.

UPDATE JULY 13, 2003

Wow, it has been a while for Coolidge updates. So let me cut to the chase:

1. New CD by The Rusty Nails "Vestiges" some say its the best one yet.

2. With that said, about a month after the release, The Rusty Nails broke up. It was a sad time here at Coolidge, but these things happen. Brett is moving on and working on some solo material and you never know, with enough demand, they might get back into it.

3. Gladys is on life support. Some of you might remember Gladys with their Kentucky ways of awesome rock and roll. Well Chad is married and his wife is expecting a kid, so Gladys has taken the backseat for a while. Possibly forever. It will be sad to see them go, but like the Rusty Nails, with enough coaxing, they could make another run.

4. New Lancaster County Prison is out and ready to take over the world. With 11 new tracks, and 4 with Shane Macgowan. Of the Pogues, you know them right?

5. We are helping in the release of a band called Snagglepuss. It is Hope and Aaron from the band Fetchin' Bones and Sugarsmack. Those cd's should be ready by mid-August 2003. I will keep it updated here.

6. The North Won - get ready to be blown away by the new sound of punk. That's all I can say for now about them.

7. If you get a chance, look for the band Witchcraft By A Picture. They are an awesome Raleigh band. See then and buy all thier things. They are on Magic Bullet Records.

Things are still going here at Coolidge. I bought a new house, so I have 1 room dedicate to Coolidge. So the idea is to sell off all old stock on ebay, and figure out what to do next. Still releasing 1-2 CD's a year, but cant put much money into it. Which sucks, but hey, must keep going...

UPDATE JUNE 6. 2001

1. I am selling Coolidge Records CD's on Ebay now. It's a much better way to sell Coolidge than through Distributors. because they are all closing down or getting smaller distributing their own labels releases.

2. I will be releasing a new compilation CD with Underadar Records. Its a benefit cd, please check out their website for the full lowdown. But it should be a fun release. It's going to be in a DVD Case. But it will be Audio Only.

UPDATED DEC. 3, 2000

A couple of things have been happening:

1. Jack (I) moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in Sept. Good job offer, so why not? There is a place where you can see my updates on raleigh here on this site: jackinraleigh : So you can see what I'm up to. That left a lot of people asking, "What's going to happen with Coolidge?" So here's what's up:

2. Coolidge is still in existence. Although right now, it's a little sidetracked until I get fully settled in Raleigh and figuring out what to do in regards to mailorder, etc.

BUT YOU CAN STILL ORDER MUSIC FROM US, IT'S JUST GOING TO TAKE A LITTLE LONGER TO GET TO YOU.

3. Coolidge still wants to do releases, and I plan on it. But financially Coolidge is going through some rough times. Distributors are a pain and don't like to respond to me. So when they don't pay Coolidge, I cannot release any CD's (it's a cycle/ catch-22) - so that's why Coolidge hasn't been releasing much lately.

Thanks. Rock ON!

Any questions, please email me: jack ball - thanks.
